Bring along your own bike and enjoy the numerous gravel roads on the farm and the surrounding area.
There are three trails on Orange Grove Farm.
1. TIERHOEK DAM TRAIL (5km)
Take a leisurely ride through our vineyards and just enjoy the scenery. Look out for the numerous Jackal Buzzards and you may even be lucky to see some Duiker and Grysbok or catch a glimpse of the resident Caracal.
This trail is suitable for everyone.
2. BOBBEJAANSKOP TRAIL (7km)
This trail offers a slightly more challenging workout taking you through our vineyards, on to Peerboom Dam and returning via the Bobbejaanskop Pass. Here you will see abundant birdlife and enjoy lovely views of the surrounding mountains.
This trail is not suitable for small children.
For those seeking a longer ride, the two trails are easily combined.
3. ROOIKRANS & SMITSKLOOF TRAIL (12km)
Test yourself on a portion of the Cape Epic Route. This trail begins with a leisurely ride through our vineyards and takes you through the foothills of the Langeberg Mountains where you will be surrounded by proteas and fynbos. The route crosses several dry river beds and continues over two mountain passes where you will have magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. En route, a slight deviation will enable you to visit Knypkloof falls.
Only experienced riders should attempt this trail. This trail is not suitable for small children.
